Our goal was to design an interface that supports more structured, comfortable communication without replacing real-world interactions. The focus was on easing the pressure of social conversations by offering prompts and suggestions to keep conversations flowing and on-topic.
Miingle
Unstructured social settings can be overwhelming for many autistic people; unpredictability and sensory load make participation difficult, often leading to disengagement or avoidance.
Miingle is a structured, sensory-friendly pop-up space that offers a safe environment for connection at one’s own pace and comfort level. Clear zones and guided prompts let people choose how to engage—making social activities more comfortable without pressure.
