Miingle
Unstructured social settings can be overwhelming for many autistic people; unpredictability and sensory load make participation difficult, often leading to disengagement or avoidance.
Miingle is a structured, sensory-friendly pop-up space that offers a safe environment for connection at one’s own pace and comfort level. Clear zones and guided prompts let people choose how to engage—making social activities more comfortable without pressure.2025

Our goal was to design an interface that supports more structured, comfortable communication without replacing real-world interactions. The focus was on easing the pressure of social conversations by offering prompts and suggestions to keep conversations flowing and on-topic.
